AutoGuide reports that the Center for Auto Safety (CAS) sent a letter to Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne renewing its demand that Chrysler recall all Jeep Grand Cherokees manufactured between 1993 and 2004. According to AutoGuide, CAS alleges that Jeep Grand Cherokees from this era are “at unusually high risk of catching fire” during rear end collisions “due to the gas tank being located behind the rear axle.”
